Biography
Sebastian Groß was born in 1978. He studied electrical engineering with a focus on information and communication technology at RWTH Aachen University. He completed his industrial internship at Philips Medical Systems GmbH, Böblingen. His diploma thesis dealt with the ‘Development and implementation of a modular software framework for the processing of endoscopic video data under hard real-time conditions’.
Since his graduation he has been working as a research assistant and PhD student at the Chair of Image Processing, RWTH Aachen University. His research interests are medical image processing, texture recognition and computer vision.
Sebastian Groß wurde 1978 geboren. Er studierte Elektrotechnik mit dem Schwerpunkt Informations- und Kommunikationstechnik an der RWTH Aachen. Sein Industriepraktikum absolvierte er bei Philips Medical Systems GmbH, Böblingen. Seine Diplomarbeit beschäftigte sich mit der ‘Entwicklung und Implementierung eines modularen Softwareframeworks zur Verabeitung von endoskopischen Videodaten unter harten Echtzeitbedingungen’.
Seit seiner Graduierung arbeitet er als wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter und Doktorand am Lehrstuhl für Bildverarbeitung, RWTH Aachen. Seine Forschungsinteressen sind medizinsche Bildverarbeitung, Texturerkennung und Computer Vision.
