Industrial Image Processing:

 

Industrial image analysis seeks to ensure the quality of mass products, such as optical storage media (CD, DVD, CD-ROM), fabric, etc.
After appropriate image acquisition, suitable image analysis methods identify faulty products before they are packaged and delivered (“zero-error policy”). detection and classification of errors is a classical task for pattern recognition methods.
A special role plays the capture and analysis of colours, specifically of textiles and fabrics. We apply various acquisition systems, ranging from standard single-chip RGB-cameras to multispectral systems. The acquired data are processed by algorithms specifically designed for the analysis of colour textures.
