The LfB has a new name: "Imaging and Computer Vision" – in German: "Bildgebung und Bildverarbeitung"

With this change of name we are reflecting the thematic development of our chair. Alongside image processing, imaging now also forms a central research focus. This broader focus allows us to cover the entire process from image formation to analysis and to develop new interdisciplinary approaches. Our research activities range from medical imaging through industrial applications to innovative methods of computer vision and of image and video communication.

We look forward to this new chapter, which encourages integrated approaches and opens up new scientific perspectives.
