With this renaming, we reflect the thematic development of our chair. In addition to image processing, imaging has now become a central research focus. This broader perspective enables us to cover the entire process—from image acquisition to analysis—and develop new interdisciplinary approaches. Our research activities range from medical imaging and industrial applications to innovative methods for computer vision and visual media communication.

We are excited about this new chapter, which will promote holistic approaches and open up new scientific perspectives.
